Hello friends,
I live in Saudi Arabia, which is plagued by utter incompetence every where.
That's why, I want to order a new SSD drive from the US and have it pre-configured for my ThinkPad T410 with Windows 8. Where can I order such a thing?
Thanks a lot,
MK

i dont think you can order it the way you want.
but you can do like this
1. get any ssd you want
2. order the recovery discs from lenovo.
good luck. -
Do you know where can I order recovery discs for my specific ThinkPad model with Windows 8 from Lenovo?
Thanks a lot! -
I doubt Lenovo will issue a set of Windows 8 Recovery Discs for the ThinkPad T410 as they never shipped the Windows 8 operating system on the model to begin with, not to mention the system is now 2 generations old. Usually they distribute recovery discs based on the original OS that came with the system which is likely to be Windows 7, though they do offer Vista and XP discs (see here).
The most likely route you can go from this stage is to perform a clean install Windows 8 on the SSD of your choice and use the Lenovo System Update packages to install the essential applications and utilities on for you. But even at this stage some of the Lenovo applications on Windows 8 don't work properly as they should, given that the OS is completely new you will need to give it time before Lenovo can issue some stable applications and drivers on Windows 8.
Where to order a new SSD with the necessary software pre-installed?
