Hi all,
Due to continuous problems with the nVidia GPU in my Dell m1330, I've been thinking of getting a T400. As a Dell owner, I'm intimately familiar with how their options/packaging/pricing/shipping play out over time - not so much with Lenovo.
I know there's a WXGA+ (1440x900) with LED BL option for the T400, but the Canada configurator currently shows only WXGA and WXGA+ with CCFL and the new hi-nit WXGA LED panel.
I presume, like Dell, they've pulled it for now due to parts shortages. Can I expect this option to come back any time soon, and if so how often does Lenovo typically mess around with their available options? (i.e. with Dell, it could be gone one morning and back in the afternoon).
On a related note, I also use a T61 with CCFL at work, and while I personally prefer the color rendition and matte finish on the ThinkPad (I'm a designer), I definitely find it dim compared to the m1330. So if the CCFL panels in the T400 are brighter than in the T61, I might be able to live with that. On the other hand, if the LED panels are much better, I'd be happy to wait for that too.
Any input from folks familiar with the Lenovo ebb and flow, or with something to say about the screen options for the T400 would be appreciated.
Thanks much!

Where's the T400 WXGA+ LED? And is it worth it?
