My new ThinkPad R61 seems to have two DVD viewing and burning software packages installed, InterVideo WinDVD and Sonic's RecordNow. For the sake of minimal bloat, I'd like to keep only one of them. Which do you use?
TIA, ~john

win dvd will play the dvd and sonic record now will burn dvd or cd.for reducing bloat, you can get rid of windvd and use vlc media player.for dvd righting purpose.use nero micro edition.

i use Nero8. its better at advanced options and writing. for playing DVD i use media player classic that came bundled in Klite codec pack. dell guys gave me roxio. uninstalled it without even opening.....

i agree w/ vlc, great program and is freeware
for iso/images and or dual layer dvd use ImgBurn, also freeware
actually, on my xp side, I still like nero 6, no bloat like 7 & 8. if you need a link since it's an older version, just let me know....
Which CD/DVD burning software did you keep?
