    Hey guys,

I need a recommendation for an Edge 14": 0578N6U for $550 or 114157U for $600? Essentially I think it boils down to the older 0578 style or the new E420 style (note not E420s), 1st gen core procs vs 2nd gen core procs, and anti-glare vs vibrantview screen types.

    The specs that differ:

    0578N6U:
    Core i3-390M
    Glossy Vibrant View screen
    320GB 7200RPM
    Intel HD Graphics

    114157U:
    Core i3 2310M
    Anti-glare screen (not glossy)
    500GB 7200RPM
    Intel HD 3000 Graphics

Anyone know if the 0578N6U can take gen 2 type processors for a future upgrade? I can't seem to find the specs on the motherboard for what all it supports. I want to be able to do future upgrades to whichever laptop I get, so if gen 1 procs are out...that narrows my choices. That said, the 390M is supposed to be considerably better than the 2310M.

My gaming will be mostly limited to pre-2005, so dedicated graphics is not of much importance. This is primarily for a budget travel laptop, thus one of my biggest concerns is build quality...any thoughts on durability between the two styles?

    Thanks for any tips!
