    Just curious which company builds the Thinkpads. eg. Quanta, Asus, Compal, etc.

    Changcheng (Great Wall) was the name Lenovo used to call itself. The name "Lenovo" was adopted a couple of years ago when the company decided to make inroads into the international PC market.

    Some thinkpad models are going to be built by compal, if thye're not already. I know someone on here posted an article about it.

    No. Lenovo is LEGEND formerly, not Great Wall. Great Wall is another company, and they have their products nowadays.

    I think you meant ODM spoon.

    Anyways, I wish they had barebones Thinkpads like Asus and Compal has barebones gaming notebooks.

    My motherboard show that they made by Legend Computer. It detected using Sisoft Sandra.
