I ordered my T61 with the 60Gb 5400 HD. I was looking at newegg tonight for a replacement HD. Should I get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145142 120Gb 5400 drive; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152087 80Gb with 256Mb NAND flash memory built in or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145005 7200 RPM.

Look for a 7200.2 SATA Seagate Drive

I use this http://www.thenerds.net/index.php?page=productpage&pn=ST9120823AS
very happy with it. I think the price is good and there is less heat from the right palm rest -
I'd go with a 7200 RPM drive from Seagate or Hitachi. Whatever size you are happy with for your budget. The performance between the two is nothing you'd be able to notice and benchmarks show that Seagate does better in some areas while the hitachi does better in other areas.
Why didn't you just order it with a 7200 RPM drive? Seems like the savings is minimal considering the time you will invest installing the drive and installing the OS and drivers etc...
Which SATA hard disk?
