    Hello!

I have ordered an IdeaPad S205 and I would like to switch out it's internal HDD with an SSD. However, I have no idea what to buy, so help me out here.

The smaller the SSD the better. 40 gb is perfect.

    Thank you.

How much money are you looking to spend? You might want to have a Mod move this to the SSD subforum as the people over there are extremely knowledgeable and may be able to help you better.

Just some food for thought; Windows will take up around 16Gb to 20Gb of that space if you plan on running that. If you bump up to 60Gb or 64Gb there are a few more options for SSD compared to 40Gb while being nearly the same price. If you really want a 40Gb SSD, I would consider the OCZ Vertex 2.

Yes, i actually changed my mind to a 60 gb OCZ Vertex 2, but im not versed in harddrives so i don't actually know if it would fit inside the laptop?

And you're using it with the S205? How long have you used it for?

    Please answer :)

    Thank you.
