Just curious as to which one of the three TrackPoint caps you guys use (and why)![]()
I prefer the stock cap, after trying out the other ones for a little while.

actually my sister's r61i, she lost her trackpoint so i replaced it w/ an extra one i had, the circular indentation and i actually liked it a lot. i didn't get to play with it that much but it was a pleasant experience and i wouldn't mind using it again. but i do prefer the stock a bit because it covers a bit more area.
-
the stock worked best for me but my T60 has the scooped in one on right now. its still really good. pros is that it doenst get as dirty as the stock and the grippy stuff use to flake off little bit on the stock ones
-
I prefer the trackpad. I usually set up the stick to scroll.

Eraser head for the win!
-
I use the Circular indentation (proper name is " Soft Rim").
I like the other ones (especially the Eraserhead) as well; however, the Soft Rim is far more comfortable for extended use. I also find it to be very precise, and it's less prone to pick up dirt from my fingers.
I have used all three, and go through segments when I prefer one over the other. -

Umm come on guys, we all know the true top secret name of the stock cap is the 'tracknipple.'
Get with it already... -
i prefer the stock nipple one. see nothing wrong with it, and it looks great
-
"Circular indentation" is like a pillow for your finger.
-
I prefer the stock tip. I think we have a poll like this a while back, and the outcome was that people preferred the stock one by some margin.
I like it because it seems to give the most traction. -
Circular indentation. It's better for extended use. The others make my fingertip feel numb after a while.
-
Eraserhead for me - seems like I can move the cursor faster with it, but some loss of accuracy...
-
I like the flat one because it doesn't get in the way--when I never use it.
The little thing really is uncomfortable on my fingers. It takes too much force to use, and if I make it more sensitive, it's hard to control. -
how do i remove and install the trackpoint?
just pull 'em out with fingernails? ...and stick the new one in. -
-
I tend to clean mine once in a while. -
I prefer to diddle the tracknipple wherever possible. It helps me get through the day until I can get back home to my wife
. -
YEAH baby!
Which TrackPoint cap do you prefer?
