Panasonic, or LGC? I see two x200s batteries with these different makers.

Has LG joined battery games too??? I have never used a LG battery before. The worst is the Sanyo and Sony. I had 1 Panasonic from a T41 and after 400 charge cycles, it still holds 79% of original charge capacity.

Sony and Sanyo all have been on battery recall lists from Apple Ipods to Dell lapburningtop... and the recent recalls involves Sony and Sanyo batteries.

LG laptop i am not sure, but when i had LG phones, their batteries was one of the worst i have ever used, and they overheat like no tomorrow. Hopefully LG is better at Laptop battery.

Panasonic is my favourite make, since i have had good runs with them, and so far they stayed off the news report of various battery recalls that has happened.

    What I've seen:

    x200s:
    4 cell: Sanyo
    6 cell: LGC
    9 cell: Panasonic

    x61s:
    4 cell: Sanyo
    8 cell: Sanyo, Sony

A comparison from long term experience would be interesting. I've digged out one here, but it doesn't mention LGC.

I doubt it makes much of a difference.

The quality of the battery will show after 200 charge cycles. And all 4 of mine Panasonic battery have held up quite well. 3 Sony have died on me, and Sanyo... lost count, like maybe 20 or so including ipod battery.

Sanyo: 3 Thinkpad batteries that was exchanged under recall, 4 Sanyo batteries died on Thinkpad, 5 on Dell and Macbook/Pro of various flavours (yes i do use and own other company laptops), the rest is all Ipod Mini (i had at least one of each colour, pink was for my girlfriend).
