Hi I need another untraportable had x200 but it's taken a dump (battery flashing, network intermittent, case cracked etc) after multiple drops now getting x201 with $200 off deal on dealpage.

I prefer to not have it hanging out. Also how long does this battery last?

    Thx

Flush on the bottom or the back? Both the 4 and 6 cell are flush at the back, only the 4 cell is flush on the bottom. The times Lenovo quotes are pretty accurate for if you have things done to save battery power (lowest cpu speed and screen brightness turned down being the main ones).

Thanks a lot Marlin I'd like it flush all the way around I think. How much does 6 cell stick out of the bottom? If not too much maybe I'm down with that... I can't find any picture or times with different battery configurations so if you have them handy I appreciate it. :)

It'll give you about 3 hours. I like having both. There are times that where I'm going I'm going to need the power brick anyways, so I take hte 4 cell, but there are times when I need battery, and that 9 cell gives me 11+ hours.

BTW, if you like flat, you might want to wait for the x201s to be configurable again, because that one has a flat bottom.

THX- Thats about the same time I used to get with 200 - it got worse after about a year but never caused issue.

Eh, you're saving a few hundred bucks and getting more performance in exchange for the lumpy bottom, so it's the better deal.

There's an ad on the local Craigslist for an X201 6-cell. He wants $80. He says, "It still shows full charge at 62Wh (above the design charge of 60Wh according to the OS)". "Part No. 42T4647". I'm thinking of buying it -- especially if he'll come down on the price and if it only has a few cycles on it. Considering what they want for a new 6-cell, looks like it might be a good deal.
