So I recently include Window 7 Pro 64 on my T61. Check out my signature for system options.

So according to Device manager in window, I am missing two drivers and is listed as "Base System Devices". What are they? I have install ThinkVantage System Update 4 and it is not able to detect it.

Here is three screen shot, if anyone knows, please let me know! Thx!

Try installing the Smartcard reader drivers for your system (if applicable).

Not sure if that's the Ricoh device or not.... as I already have "Ricoh R/RL/5C476(II) or Compatiable CardBus Controller driver" installed.

Being side that, I when to Lenovo site to look for a window 7 driver for Ricoh card reader and they dont seem to offer it yet....

    Hi,

My W500 has 4 entries for the Ricoh card-reader in the Device Manager when properly installed. When I installed W7 on it, Windows Update pulled some drivers online and got 2 of the entries - when I installed System Update, the Ricoh card-reader drivers it installed, filled in the other 2.

As what Cassio has said, I would definitely advice that you run SU 4.0, it has run flawlessly on the 3 occasions I've installed W7 :)

Following onto the previous post -

Apologies it should be 3 entries, they are as follows:

    Ricoh Memory Stick Controller
    Ricoh SD/MMC Host Controller
    Ricoh xD-Picture Card Controller

If you're missing any of them, it's possible one of them might be the unknown device in your list :)
