    I'm trying to decide which laptop to keep. I appreciate any advice. Thanks!

    New Lenovo Thinkpad R61i 8932A11, Core2Duo 1.5 Ghz (T5250), 15.4" LCD,120 GB HDD, 1 GB Ram, DVDRW for $576 AR.

    Display model Toshiba Satellite A205-S4577, Core2Duo 1.73 Ghz (T5300, 533 Mhz FSB), 15.4" LCD,160 GB HDD, 1 GB Ram, DVDRW for $379 OTD.

    The ThinkPad is better build...plus the tosh is a display model so it would have been well used...

    Go for the ThinkPad. It'll last you longer, plus it's new compared to a used display model.

    Where are you getting the $576 new Thinkpad deal from?

    I think the Thinkpad is better :)

    Yes, it took a bit of effort at Staples to get the new Thinkpad.

    So everyone thinks I should return the display model Toshiba and keep the new Thinkpad? It'll cost me an extra $200 over the Toshiba.
