On my T43, none of the numbers listed on the bottom panel are designated as a serial number. How do I know which it is if it's not identified? I went to Lenovo/IBM support page and the photo they show of the label where it should be found does not look like anything on my model. ???

I dont have an IBM notebook, but sometimes they'll have the sticker in the battery compartment. Try popping off the battery and find it. And also, they might have an additional sticker on the box that came with it.

Shouldn't the serial number be right next to the model number?
