Hello
I am going to customize a T61 in ibm.ca, however I don't know which Windows is suitable for me.
I am a part-time programmer and I am not using Vista yet.
1- Home
2- Home premium(Lenovo Recommended)
3- Business
4- Business-64
Any comments?
Thanks in advance.

Business and Ultimate comes with XP downgrade CD's if I recall correctly. I am going to be upgrading to Business-64 soon I'll let you know how that turns out.
-
I use buisness and will be upgrading to 64bit
-
What is difference between business 32 and 64?
-
Home Basic - Fastest version
More Features = More Bloat
Move to the 64bit version - Get anytime upgrade after you get your computer -
It's not about T61, it's about what you need your laptop for.
I have Business. But if you need the features such as media center get home premium. I personally don't think Ultimate worth the money. -
I am not interested in media Center...
what is dif between Business and Home Preimume? -
OK, just in news, I am actually searching this myself. If you are going to draw UML on your T61. Then rational rose can only run on Vista Business and Ultimate (well Enterprise as well, but that's another matter)
-
I don't use UML, what about battery usage?

Check out Microsoft's Vista edition comparison chart here: Windows Vista: compare editions
If you are looking for the Vista equivalent of WinXP Pro, go with Vista Business. -
Thank you meeksus.
I promise this is my final question
I will go on with business, now 32 or 64? -
"I am a part-time programmer and I am not using Vista yet."
I'm a developer and I had a 3000 with Vista business and it was wonderful. My t61p came with Ultimate and I almost regert. Vista Business and ultimate have a number of infrastructural changes that are highly advantageous such as Vista Complete PC Backup.
I think Business is the ultimate for developers.
Which is suitble in T61? Home, Home premium or Business?
