Which lock (or chain) is compatible with Lenovo 3000?

Where I live, laptop locks (or chains, as some call them) retail starting from $30 (and up).

I looked at eBay and was able to find locks for as little as $7 (including S&H).

But... it almost seems to be too good to be true:
    • Will any of these locks (offered on eBay) work with a Lenovo 3000? Do laptop locks follow some standard? Or should I look for particular brand & model that fits the Lenovo 3000?
    • Is there a difference in quality between the locks? After all, the slot reserved for the lock in the Lenovo 3000 is made of an el-cheapo plastic...

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Thank you for your question. I wasn't even aware that there is something called "kensington lock port style". That is exactly the kind of information I am looking for: If there is a standard (even de-facto) for laptop locks, then my job of finding one for my Lenovo will become much easier.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Well, at least the Kensington MicroSaver 64068E Security Cable Lock (P/N 73P2582) seems to be compatible with the Lenovo 3000.

However, look at the price... $36 ??? c'mon!

I will keep looking... (why pay $36 when I can pay $7?)

    Thanks,
    Daniel
