My x61s takes "Ultralight" LCD screen 13N7092 (Lenovo part number). Lenovo wants $788 for it. Through coupons, Holiday sales, and Fatwallet cash back, I paid less than that for the entire computer, so I will not be buying an $800 screen. My options:

    1) eBay - generic x60/61 screen - $180 - seller location Japan - 99.7% positive feedback.
Pros: Cheapest option to get lappy running again.
Cons: Unknown exactly which Lenovo part# this screen corresponds to, but is guaranteed to work.

    2) eBay - Lenovo 13N7092 - $280 - seller location Malaysia - 100% positive feedback.
Pros: exact same screen currently in my notebook
Cons: non-US location (only a possible problem if LCD is defective)

    3) priorityelectronics.com - Lenovo 13N7092 - $380. Lowest price I can find via Google search.
Pros: exact same screen currently in my notebook, longest warranty, California company
    Cons: most expensive

    What would you do?

"Dead pixel policy" and PayPal are two things that would come to my mind. Both protect you.

You bought an x61s in $780???? that's about 40% off the current price tag

What is "dead pixel policy"? Do you just mean I should find out what the two seller's policies' are for return?

    25% Holiday sale, 15% e-coupon, 10% Fatwallet cashback.

Yes that's kinda what I mean. Some seller's won't accept a return if there's only a few dead pixels, a "zero dead pixel" policy would state that its a perfect screen in terms of dead pixels. Usually you have to pay extra for a "zero dead pixel" policy for obvious reasons.
