I just cannot decide which screen I should get for a new X200 tablet.

Can some one please tell me what are the advantages of a Touch screen versus a normal tablet screen? Do I really need go for a touch screen?
I need a tablet laptop before Dec 16, So is there any sites I could check one out instead of ordering directly from Lenovo?
Thanks in advance for your help! :D

I may be missing something here, but why would you get a tablet laptop if the screen isn't a touchscreen?

Sorry for the confusion, the two screens I'm talking about are these two:

12.1" WideView SuperBright LED backlit WXGA panel
12.1" WideView MultiTouch + MultiView LED backlit WXGA panel

The first screen can only use with a pen, but the second can use with both pen and finger.

I just don't quite get the advantage of the Muilti Touch screen.

Advantage for the multi-touch screen? convenience maybe? Actually, maybe not because if you do use your fingers on the screen, you'll probably have to clean it at least twice a day due to the oils rubbing off your hands/fingers.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'd like the touch screen to do some quick scrolling and what not. And of course the digitizer will be amazing for writing.

I really like the looks of the x200t. I just wish I had the money NOW to get it.

I got the "frameless" (non-MultiTouch) screen and am quite happy with it. Besides looking a bit nicer (IMHO), it also is a bit brighter without the pressure sensor layer on top of the screen. But I'm sure it's a personal choice... how much annoyance would you feel grabbing for the pen (or losing it), versus how often you'd really use it with a finger (keep you finger nails sharpened?). It's not "multi-touch" like the Apple iTouch screens... it's still just a single finger or other pressure sensor in addition to the pen.

I would recommend the 285 nit LED frameless (digitizer only). The frameless bezel looks better, is more natural for inking (you can go beyond the screen and it is still flat), is 55 nits brighter, and may also be less grainy (each touch layer adds to screen grain).

I personally see little benefit of finger touch for most people. A finger is not accurate enough for inking, graphics work, or really anything except clicking on an icon. I believe touch is most useful for doctors, factory managers, and other people that have to stand up while using their machine all the time and click on relatively large buttons.

If you need it quickly (and at a decent price) I would recommend ProVantage. You will need to check the Tabbook to verify the specs on their models. Unfortunately, they seem to be low on stock right now. They have 4 of the touch LED, about 60 of the CCFL, and 0 frameless LED. There may be other people that have them in stock (I would recommend the 7449-88u [Vista Business] or 7449-8ju [XP Pro] if you can find them).

Thanks alot jonlumpkin. I'm actually looking at 7449-88u now, but it seems no one has it in stock with a decent price though. sigh...
