...the screws in the W700, and I assume most other current Thinkpads?

Sounds like a dumb question, but the small selection of screwdrivers that I have are either too big or too small. Grrrr...

When I put a different video card in, I screwed 3-4 of them in too tight, and I'm wearing down the screws the more I try. So I stopped and need to buy the exact one that fits these babies!

And if anyone knows the best online store as to where to buy the damn thing...please do tell... ;) I'm just not a handyman, but I need to get back in there to take some high-res pics.

Help! Thanks in advance. (... ugh, this is embarrassing  lol)

You should go to a handyman store with your laptop and try out their screw drivers set... the best one that fits is the one you should buy....

Also consider to get a Chrome-Vanadium due to the higher yield strength..

You need a small phillips head screw driver.

I am seriously considering cloning myself.... so one can move to each country to take up the best that has to offer.... like the Bounty Hunter in Star War...

Actually, the screws are metric, not #0, #00, or #1. I know most of the screws in my X61s are M2, as were my T60's if I recall. The maintenance guide will tell you for all of the screws, though.

Awesome guys! Thanks very much. Lowes and Home Depot are around where I live, so I should be set.

    Thanks again! :)

you're confusing nomenclature here.   "metric" refers to the shank diameter and thread pitch (ie: M2 is a 2mm shank).   "M2" fasteners can be driven by phillips, slotted, torx, socket cap, hex cap, or hex key drivers depending on the head style.   "#1 / #0 JIS phillips" refers to the drive style of the head, which is shaped like a plus (+).
