Which version of ThinkPad power manager is the most stable one?

I use win xp with power manager v.1.00.

But I find that it contains some problems.

For example, after the TP wakes up from stand by mode, the screen light setting will change to the brightest instead of my setting.

Therefore, I just wonder if the newer version fixed this bug or not. And will it contains more bugs?

    thx

yes, I installed v.1.44 after I installed PowerManager.

But I just install it without uninstalling the old version.

    Will it cause any problems?

PS: The CPU deeper sleep setting comes out after I install the PM driver.
