I turned my sluggish service loaded vista T61 into a little tiger! Agile yet Powerful.

    Physical Upgrade:
    1. RAM upgraded to 4G(3.1G usable)
    2. 4G from An OCZ Rally 2 Turbo SLC 8G (100USD) flash drive for readyboost!! (THIS SETTING IS MAKING A HUGE DIFFERENCE!! IT SET YOUR HDD FREE!! HALLELUJAH~~~) Who says Penguins Cannot fly! Who says readyboost doesnt help at all?

    1. Defrag the HDD (Seagate Momentus 7200.4 7200RPM 16M)
    2. Disk Clean-Up + registry scanning
    3. Turn all the unnecessary startup progrom or services off!!
    4. Do not use McAfee Internet Security 2009, use Norton!!

Now my Laptop is literally very well cached. You can open instances of VS 2008, SQL SERVER,MATLAB, PS CS4, as many as you want! and your HDD wont complain loudly anymore!!

hahaha... ever since I got this T400, I've been scouring EBay for a cheap T4x or T6x, I'm a little addicted to the Thinkpad look, the matte black finish, the blue Enter key, the red trackpoint, such lovely-looking machines. :)

I see that on the T4x keyboard, the top-row keys(function keys) are a grey-color. I love this! Why did they stop doing it? It's a very cool and distinct look!
