Who has installed the two new power management vista drivers for the T61?

    1. Power Manager for Vista v2.05

    1a. XP version v1.16

    2. ACPI Power Management for both Vista and XP v1.43

Edit: Also please submit your opinions on whether or not you feel the drivers have improved or hinder the performance of the machine.

Well, not sure what either would do, I installed both. Happily, my T61 now actually does what I ask in terms of auto standby/hibernate. Before, it seemed to ignore all my power-saving settings in this regard.

Yeah, i just wanted to get a general idea of whether or not the new drivers are needed, or if they actually improved the system at all. My notebook is running fine at the moment so i'm going to hold off for a little longer. I just recently did another install from the partition because my OSD function stopped working after i updated the Hotkey driver. I had the new power management drivers installed at that time, but didnt notice a difference.

The ACPI Power Management v1.43 driver is down from the ibm driver site. I wonder why it's down?

Edit: Never mind. It's back. You have to have a Hotkey driver installed before you allowed to dl the ACPI Power Management driver.

the only thing ive noticed is the battery icon actually blinks now when being charged. This seemed like a no brainer that didnt happen before (both T61 and R61)
