    Has anyone out there used an x24, and a more modern Thinkpad? I was just thinking about how much I miss the keyboard from mine, and wondering if the new Thinkpad keyboards are different, or if there's still hope for good typing on a laptop. ;)

    the keyboard on the new thinkpads are not the same as the x24 - they are slightly more low-profile.

    however, the new thinkpad keyboards are hands-down the best laptop keyboards i've seen on modern laptops. the typing is still, great, although it might take a tiny bit of geting use to....
