When buying a thinkpad, if you choose Windows Vista Business, Lenovo allows you to choose free XP Recovery DVD. But if you choose Genuine Windows XP Professional (preinstalled via downgrade rights in Windows Vista Business), then you have no option to have free Vista Recovery DVD.
Why? Do I miss something here?
What if someday I want to upgrade my thinkpad to Windows Vista Business? How can I do that?
Cheers!

Ours not to reason why, ours but to do and die.

Do you know how to upgrade to Windows Vista Business if I choose Genuine Windows XP Professional (preinstalled via downgrade rights in Windows Vista Business) now?
Thanks. -
I guess the thing to do would be to order it with Vista and get the XP discs. They you can make the Vista discs when you get it, then you'll have a set of recovery discs for both XP and Vista.

Thank you! I have asked you so much today and your help really means a lot to me. I just put another order with vista business/xp selected based on your suggestion. Other things remain the same. Will cancel the previous order tomorrow.
Have a wonderful night....................
Why Lenovo does give you vista DVDs if you choose XP?
