    Why is 1 year the longest warranty period for T400?

    There isn't even an option to get anything longer than 1 year warranty. At least not on the Canadian site. What's up with that?

    hey since you live in Canada, i just wonder did you order your t400 with dvd rom and how did it affect your estimated shipment date? i ask this because on the Lenovo Canada website it says we'll be expecting 3-4 weeks shipment delay if we configure a dvd rom on the machine

    that really bothers me and it's my top concern right now. :(

    I didn't order it yet, I'm just considering it. But the delay is only for the DVDRW, no? There's no delay on the DVD-ROM.

    Order it with a CC that has free warranty protection benefit, like some of the AMEX cards.
