    Why is it so difficult to find 32GB (1x32GB) memory for Thinkpad P1?

    I am thinking about buying a Thinkpad P1. I plan to order a 32GB memory from Lenovo and buy/install another 32GB myself (P1 has only two memory slots, right?).

    However, I searched crucial.com and kingstons.com and many other places and I am unable to find 32GB (1x32GB) memory for P1.

    Probably not available in the mass market yet, since these are niche memory chips and expensive too.

    It’s not a niche market, it’s just expensive. Neobits sells them for 320$ with tax and shipping. Best of luck to you.

    Btw: as of this post, it’s the only 32gb sodimm ram chip in production
