Why is it that the price of the t400 under education just shot up?

A couple days ago I checked and under my school's deal (University Of Maine) and through the "Exclusive deals" advert I found (that stated it was valid through the 31st), I could configure a T400 with a 9 cell battery, bluetooth, intel 5300 wireless, a wxga+ screen, dedicated GPU, 1 dimm of 2gb ram, and a 7in1 card reader, for 809$ before tax.

Now, the LOWEST I can make the same exact system cost is over 1000$.

I expected the sale to last until the 31st. I'm sad now.

i think the prices of all thinkpads just went up this weekend. Every time you see a good deal, make an order and save it as a quote. then you will have that price available for 30 days.

Is it likely I will see another good deal within the next few months?
