    Hey.
Without any change in the conditions, I notice that my fan keeps working to cool the computer.

    What can make that happen?

I know that the Q is very general, but I did not switch the enviroment or anything of sorts.

Could a different in the running programs could have done this?
Is there any program that controls the fan settings that I might have switched off?

    thanks

no, i don“t think you could have switched off or corrupted the fan control by accident.
it actually spins as long as your laptop is too warm.
maybe your notebook has gathered some dust over the time. maybe cleaning it will already help about your fan always spinning.

Go to www.speedfan.com and download Speedfan. It allows you to view your system's temperatures, I use it all the time, it may come in handy for you...
