It only took 3 days. is it possible they just ship the returned i7 to me? that's why it is so fast? coz I heard people are returning because of the screen and throttle issues.

You were just fortunate enough for them to have all the parts on hand and ready to build. Lenovo doesn't ship you returned laptops. Those are sold in their outlet store and are labeled as such. You are getting a newly built laptop. Don't worry.
-
They have had a decent deal on an i7 model for a while now. I would assume they have more i7's than they want. Where did the laptop ship from?

It's all dependent on what parts they happen to have readily available at the moment. If you'll notice, one of the TopSeller configurations they're really pushing now is a Core i7 model, so I'd expect they have these in good stock now.
-
If they wanted to ship you a built and returned machine, they could've done so on day 0 by just using a simple script to check to see if there is a machine with the exact same specs already built.
-
New machines ship from China. New/refurb/scratchndent from the outlet ship from NC.

From the day I placed my order online, it only took 9 days to get here, including shipping from Shanghai, China.

I bought my T420s about a month ago as one of their express limited configuration options machines (no choice on processor or memory, i5, 4GB, if I recall correctly, choice of HD, Cam, Wifi, Finger scanner, etc.). Ordered early on a Monday morning, it arrived from Shanghi at noon on Friday, when I ordered estimated ship date was 2 weeks away.

Lenovo have lifted their game on fast delivery and shipping.
Why x220 i7 shipped so fast?
