So my WiFi radio on my t61 will not stay on. Every time I try to connect to a WiFi source, it will not connect automatically, and when I run the troubleshooter, it says my radio is powered off. This is despite the fact that the switch on the front of the computer is always on. Switching it off and then on again does not help. Any ideas? I ordered whatever the nicest card option was. I think it was the Microsoft mini-n card or something like that. This is really annoying, so any help would be great.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Try this

    FN-F5

    Open Access Connections

Configure > Global Settings > Deselect Enable Automatic Wireless Lan Control

Also do you have Power Save mode disabeled on the card?

I deselected the Automatic Wireless Lan Control. How do I check for power save mode?

Device Manager>Network Adapters> select your wireless adapter>Power management>deselect allow computer to turn this device off

Yeah, Access Connections disables the radio sometimes when there's no signal. Do you use any profiles?
