that means there will be widescreen X61 as well!
-
Interesting...

As someone who has a 12.1" widescreen and a 12.1" 4:3 standard, I highly prefer the standard on the 12.1'' frame.
-
Well...I'd pick widescreen. I also like movies, you know...
-
ahh, I knew it. They've been throwing around way to many x61 deals lately for this not to happen. I bet a non-tablet widescreen x61 will take a bit longer though.
-
It's a great idea in my opinion. I don't really like standard screens.
-
im also a fan of WS; allows better video play
-
Um, can you say typo? A new form factor would not get the same naming convention...it would be X62 or something
-
-
Ah yes.. higher resolution options are always welcomed.

I read it over on Thinkpad forums as well, but I think this is a typo. I am almost certain of it. I don't think they are selling a widescreen X61 tablet. I actually spoke to a Lenovo sales rep in China about it and he hadn't heard of it.
If you do a bit of research on the Chinese Lenovo site I think you will find that some of the specs for the other X61 tablets have typos as well. In example writing that the screen is WXGA in one place, only to state the resolution to be 1024x768 somewhere else.
Widescreen ThinkPad X61 Tablet coming soon
