Ever since I erased the intel pro/set that came with my computer and put on the generic intel driver, my wifi indicator no longer blinks when active. I have since put back on the Lenovo pro/set driver through the thinkvantage updater, but the light still doesn't blink when active, it's just steady on if wifi is on or off if wifi is off. Any ideas?

It never blinks on my X201. Always steady on when wi-fi is on and off when it's turned off. I'm using the default Lenovo driver and the Access Connections software.

Hmmm...I guess I just assumed it used to. I wonder why they ditched this feature.

Indeed it does.

I'm glad it doesn't blink. That would annoy me. Speaking of annoying, I wonder why the right hinge is smaller than the left one? This minor asymmetry bugs me! Otherwise, it's as close to a perfect design as I've ever seen on a small laptop.

I like the blinking. It let's me know when it's going and the page just is taking a while to load. Can't say I can come up with any theory as to why the hinges are different widths, but I never really noticed it either.

I find the asymmetry (of the screen bezel and the hinges) quite attractive actually! But then again, I'm all into asymmetries of all kinds! In fact, personally, this is one of the best visual features of the ThinkPad!

EDIT: Oh, I see. Nevermind. Can't believe people are bothered by that. -
