nope. no problem right here. when i play Local game, i never disconnected or lagging. when try to connect to campus hot spot, it can connect easily. i even use 4965ABG, which to some people is annoying. but it works fine.

I have a Lenovo 3000 with exactly the same problems. In my experience, I do not see the power cut to the wireless card when the card is connected, only when I am not connected.

    Why is the 4965ABG annoying?

My T61 works wonders with Intel 4965AGN, I close the lid and it goes to sleep. I open it back up, swipe my finger and as soon as the desktop shows up the Internet connection is on and it stays on. I have never had such a reliable WiFI performance on my old R40 and Windows XP (except maybe for my desktop DWL-AG132 which also worked very well for years).

most of the times its not the card problem. mainly vista or driver issue.
