The cpu is Intel u4200u, which supports 16GB, but crucial and some other sites says u330p only supports 8GB. There is only one memory slot, and when u330p was released single 16GB-units were rare so maybe 16GB works even if most sites says not? Has anyone tried out a single 16GB Ram-unit in u330p or a similar notebook or know if it could work?
    It's DDR3L btw.

I'm not sure what chipset that laptop uses, but find out and check on Intel's site to see how much ram it supports. You can probably use a HWinfo program.
