I ordered on May 13 or 14 to get ahold of their "deal"
Of course, 1 day later it was actually better, so I canceled. Went from an R to a T series, went from 1.8 to 2.0 ghz, and changed the wireless card. So on 4/15 I cancelled and I'd like to reorder but Lenovo's locked up my Bill Me Later credit and I can't get another..
Anyone have any experience with canceling an order? 6 days now and I'm starting to think I'm going to be seeing an R series PC on my doorstep any day now.

If you do get one on the doorstop, do not accept the shipment and contact your CC company to get a refund.
-
If you refuse to accept a UPS package, and the package gets returned to Lenovo, Lenovo will charge you a restocking fee.
The proper way to do it is to accept the package. Call Lenovo, explain to them your situation, and the customer service rep will issue you a RMA number, and will send UPS to pick up your package (probably within the next day or two). Your credit card will be credited within a week or two after Lenovo has received the return package. -
I agree with Furry. I would call Lenovo ASAP and explain you do not want the laptop and that you want to buy something else. That way they can explain what you need to do in order for you to send back your first order without a restocking fee.

I've called Lenovo Tuesday of last week to cancel, and again on Friday to see WTF is up with it not being canceled. I'll do the same today, I guess. Yay, I get to sit and listen to more awful R&B for 20 minutes before getting ahold of a rep.

Don't worry about it- it just takes them a long time. I called last Tuesday as well and today it was finally cancelled.

I heard there is no restocking fee if one doesn't open the box.

I might be a little out of date, but last September when my friend called to cancel an order that already shipped, Lenovo told him to NOT accept the delivery, and they'd refund fully when it was returned.
they didn't even deduct any shipping charges (which would have been reasonable to do) -
The computer is shipped all the way from China. If you refuse the shipment, the package will be returned to China... Kind of expensive...
Lenovo has a U.S. domestic mailing address. But the package wont be returned there if the buyer refuses the shipment. -
Well it was 24 hours after I ordered it.. hell maybe even 12, so I'm not worried about it arriving. Anyone doing the "Bill Me Later" will know my problem - I can't do a new order until the BML charge is wiped out. Apparently after being on hold for 38 minutes yesterday and finally getting someone to talk to me, they had to send my request to cancel a few places.. they were having problems.. Geez, wtf is up with that?
I just want to order a new one and be done with it.
Will Lenovo EVER cancel my order?
