I've been waiting very patiently for Vista to come preinstalled with the X60s. However, if Lenovo doesn't release a new X60s, then there was really no point in waiting because of the free Vista upgrade coupon. The only benefit I see is a Vista logo sticker and having it preinstalled.

Vista comes out in four weeks. I don't see Lenovo releasing a newer X60s. I can't imagine running Aero with the current Intel onboard graphics. Can anyone confirm this?

Aero do run with current Intel onboard graphics. How well I don't know but supposedly it's smooth.

I don't think there will be a new x60s until Santa Rosa (march-april 2007?) and/or LV Core 2 Duos (don't know when they are supposed to come but I've hear beginning of 2007, but that was a while ago).

Might be possible that lenovo will jusst add Vista-preinstallation for the x60s in the beginning.

My biggest gripe about Vista and the X60s is the screen resolution. 1024x768 is small and I've got the impression that Vista will make it seem even smaller :p

Aero will also drain battery-life so in a laptop you might want it turned off even if it can handle it.

If I remember correctly, Lenovo released the wide-screen Z last yeat at CES. This year's CES starts next week, so maybe we'll see something soon.
