    The current WUXGA for workstation is wayyy too high for me -_-...Just wondering if lower resolution will be available in the future.

    I'd call up a sales rep and ask them, maybe they can pull some strings for you. Or at lest they should give you an idea about when they might become available.

    Workstation version has WUXGA resolution LCD, where as regular 15.4 has WXGA and WSXGA+ resolution LCD. Workstation version has Nvidia Quadro 570M video card, where as regular 15.4 has Nvidia Quadro 140M or Intel integrated video.

    Basically, workstation version has faster (but more power hungry) video card and higher resolution screen.

    The R61 is also said to be very similar to the T61 so you might save up some money. Both come with the 15.4" SXGA+ screen and the nVidia 570M GPU.

    Wouldn't one rather go with the T series, as it is the flagship of the Thinkpads?

    If the price difference isn't that big then sure I would rather go with the T series. Just saying the R series isn't that different from the T as they once used to be. :)
