    Will active protection system work if I add a new HD?

    Just wondering if I upgrade to a bigger hard drive, will I be able to install the active protection system software and have it function just like normal?

    Will work regardless of the HD. It works by using a sensor inside the laptop detecting shake, and then parking the HD.
