I've been looking to buy a 14.1 inch t61 for college, but i only see the 4 cell and 9 cell option. I'll admit that having a battery stick out from my laptop will bother me,so i wont get the 9 cell. i think i might go for the 4 cell now.i'm getting integrated graphics, 160 5400rpm hdd, and 3 gigs of ram; so it should last like 3 hours, right?

Yeah, depending on your screen brightness and power settings, you may be able to squeeze three hours out of a 4-cell.

The six cell sticks out the back as well on the 14". On the six cell my R60 goes a little over three hours.

They do offer the 6 and 7 cell batteries in the accessories page after you pick all the hardware. They are just really back ordered. I believe you have to wait 4 weeks for the 6 or 7 cell battery
