    Will the NEC 6750a work like the NEC 6650a in Ultrabay 2000?

    I only see the 6750a on newegg but do not see it listed on the NEC site. From the pictures it looks like they are very similar so I am wondering if the 6750a will work in ultrabay 2000 like the 6650a.

    They are the same thing, 67 has a little faster DL hardware, that's about it.

    I finally got around to getting the NEC 6750a and it is not compatable with the ultra base 2000. It fits in after cutting the face but the ports do not match up. Is a special cable needed or am I out of luck?
