Hey all.. former MacBook Pro Retina user.. current Dell XPS15 user.. HATE it. I love all my previous Lenovo Thinkpads and want back in.. I need a 13-14" unit with high-resolution display. Will the upcoming X3 Carbon be my best bet or will Lenovo start offering high-res displays in the T440 series, etc?

    Thank you.

Are you talking about higher than the 1080p display on the T440s? tabook usually isn't revealed for awhile.

The matte IPS non touch display on the T440s is pretty good in my opinion. The Retina MacBook Pro 13" display has better depth, blacks, contrast and color, I prefer the matte screen over the glossy display on the Mac.

I too am eager to see what is offered on the X3. If it's stellar, I will buy one.

Curious why you hate the xps15. Is it the Haswell version with the QHD display?

Sold my XPS 15 the other day.. reading some initial reviews of the new X1.. meh. I'm depressed. Biggest concern for me is the crappy scaling that Windows 7/8 has. This is a serious issue that Microsoft missed the boat on with Windows 8. Did they not realize super high-res screens were on the way? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Don't make me buy a MAC!!!

The new X1C could be a decent alternative to the X3, with a WQHD screen.

The new X1C is the "X3". I think it was planned/rumored to be called the X3 but ended up just being the second gen X1 Carbon.
