Do an internet search for Lenovo Employee pricing and use the coupon code for that. Combined with the current sale prices, it gives the best discounts I have seen yet on the T400.

Well... if you are scared of a Halloween price drop then what about Christmas deals or New Year's or Thanksgiving? You could go on an on forever waiting for the next great deal.

Plus, I believe Lenovo still has their 21 day price guarantee. If you buy a laptop and the exact same configuration is cheaper within the 21 days that you purchase all you need to do is configure the exact same laptop that you purchased and send it to Lenovo. They'll review the configuration and if it is lower they credit you back the difference.

I personally did the price guarantee. It gives some peace of mind. Of course you know that on the 22nd day there will be a huge price drop :)

The price on T400's right now, using the current sale and the coupon I referenced, is at least as good as the price I paid for my T61 about a month and a half before the T400 was released. I can't imagine its going to get significantly better than it is right now. And if it does, for Halloween, you are in the price guarantee window. At the very least, make a price quote now if you are ready to buy.

The T400 will be cheaper on Halloween, and it will come with a complementary spooky design on the lid!

While I'm sure at some point the T400 will sell for less, no one here knows when that'll be for sure. What's the worst that happens if you pay more? Then you deny yourself the use of your notebook during that time, which has some value.

I can't say I'm surprised that Lenovo has a LED BL screen at an extra $324.00 option right now what with the great prices and coupons!
