    No, it won't. Current miniPCIe SSDs (Samsungs supposedly have been released but not available yet) do NOT work in any notebooks (except Dell Precision M6500 and some netbooks). They aren't configured to handle miniPCIe as a storage device since they the pins are not connected to an I/O controller.

    Why not get a regular 2.5 inch SSD and get an ultrabay caddy for your 160gb drive?

    I guess I can do that. since I really never use the optical drive unless I'm reinstalling Windows.

    You can always install Windows via USB key :)
