How is it smaller o_O? T400 is 14" and "Custom fit for 15-inch MacBook Pro; compatible with 13-inch MacBook, 14-inch iBook, and 15-inch PowerBook."

    Interior dimensions (WxHxD): 14.1 x 9.6 x 1.0 in./35.81 x 24.38 x 2.54 cm

The 9.6 and the 1.0 inch. Mine is going to have a 9 cell battery, and the laptop is 1.3 inches I believe.

I just put a ruler against my T400 w/ 6cell and its about 10 1/4" deep. I imagine the 9cell would be similar or larger.

Even if it were a whole lot closer it doesn't seem very wise to cram an expensive laptop into a $40 case hoping the case will stretch. Check ebags.com - they have hundreds of bags that'll fit.
