Does Lenovo officially support win 7 on either the TP 60 or 61?
Thanks..

Both the T60 and T61 can use Windows 7, Lenovo still provide some hardware drivers that enables them to run on the OS. My T61 runs Windows 7 x64 just fine, most of the drivers are already recognised by the OS natively. Though depending on some models you may run some issues such as the display hotkeys (brightness) not working as they should. For example, Lenovo haven't provided an official Windows 7 driver for the Intel graphics of these machines.
While you can get the driver through Intel directly, you won't have the OEM brightness display function of the hotkeys. Before obtaining from Windows Update used to be the solution but now they updated the drivers so it doesn't work anymore. Thankfully I was able to obtain the previous version of the driver that enabled the brightness hotkeys on my T61 again. For that you need driver version number 8.15.10.1867, I only got the 64 bit version of the driver but if anyone needs for their T61 I uploaded a link for the driver. -
Thanks for your help
