    Hey guys,

Since my laptop original Windows is vista , Win7 was installed on it when I bought, I decided to make a backup copy and save it on another computer then restore it to the SSD.. now I have 2 issues.. the blue screen which is related to the aligning "as I am assuming" and also the Windows product key.. so I have no idea what to do at this point, I heard acronis can do the job but I don't want to do everything then end up at the same point where the windows is not activated and I cannot activate it..

I used the Lenovo backup and restore tool..

Edit : I forgot to mention that my laptop is T400 and the SSD is Crucial M4 128G.. with the latest firmware 9

Are you able to burn recovery disks on your T400?

Do you have access to a Windows7 disk? It can be either retail full install, upgrade, or OEM.

use ABR to transfer the activation key from one to the other
    as for the blue screen..
did you try to take a lenovo prepared setup and put its windows partition into another hdd? I believe there are 3 partitions lenovo uses and all 3 need to be transferred, or some such thing.
