I forgot somehow to back up WinDVD before doing my clean wipe of the system. Is there any way I can get the serial # back and re-download it somewhere?
Thanks,
Chris

If you saved the tools sub directory, before you did the clean wipe of your system, you will find WinDVD, under Lenovo Multimedia centre, as far as I recall.
So, just reinstall it from there - you don't need any license number either.
But if you didn't save the tools folder, then I'm not sure you can download WinDVD separately from Lenovo.
I never came across it on their site, just the ThinkVantage stuff, and drivers, is all that's there, I think. -
I think the download version of WinDVD is just an update which would require WinDVD to be installed to update. If you can't get WinDVD back, VideoLAN is free and works well.
As noted all the software for your machine is located in the SWTools on the C:\ drive. This would include WinDVD. If you haven't already I would suggest making a backup of it ASAP. If worst comes to worst you could recover the system using the restore discs and get it that way. That's assuming you made them of course. -
