Hi Folks,
My R60 just came in today, pretty impressed with the machine, not real impressed with the amount of stuff that is pre-installed, etc.
Does anyone know of a Thinkpad specific XP tweaking guide, or anyone have any suggestions? I already uninstalled Norton... There is a ton of other stuff running at startup, most of which I don't think I need, Access Connections, Google Desktop, etc.
Any hints on what some of the startup and Thinkpad specific services are and what can be removed/disabled and any other tuning tricks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks In Advance!

Access connections manages your WiFi connections so I would not get rid of it. Definetly boot Google Desktop.

Thanks for your reply. So you would keep the access connections software instead of just using the WinXP wireless stuff?
I have an A30p and was using Access Connections and didn't find I needed the extra functionality, so I just removed it (well it's still installed and just took it out of the startup list) and use XPs built in stuff.
Any extra pointers?
