I just received my X200T today and I have to say I am very pleased. This is the first computer I have purchased from Lenovo and it seems to work like a charm. I ordered the tablet with "Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate" and was surprised to find that the unit arrived without a CD of the operating system. Is this usual? I have encountered hard drive failures in the past and am known to occasionally reformat the drive, as well. Any suggestions on how to go about getting the actual CD from Lenovo? Thanks,
    Morty

very usual... now manufacturers dont supply you with restore cd's..
also, some companies, like dell, charge you cash money just to get your hands on them

Yes. You can either order the disks from Lenovo (call customer support) for somewhere in the vicinity of $50, or you can easily burn them yourself.

If you go to "Computer" in the Start Menu and double-click on the "Lenovo" partition (at least, that was what it was called in Vista), a prompt will pop up that will guide you through burning a set (1 CD + 2 DVDs) of recovery disks.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, I have not received my optical drive yet and I am supposed to give my computer to a vendor today to have some software loaded and tested. Maybe I can ask them to do it for me. Life was much simpler in the old days (Apple 2e with two 128k drives ($3200) - no backups to worry about)! :)
