    Dear all,

    i am sorry if this already been asked before, i want to know upgradeability to Windows 7 on several Thinkpad models, especially R400 and SL 400. Will Lenovo provide discount price on upgrade?

    If they're not, will Lenovo provide necessary driver and programs on Windows 7 on these models?

    I would definitely imagine they will release drivers for Win 7, in time of course. Lenovo tends to be very good about supporting their products (which is not what I can say about some manufacturers).

    I doubt Lenovo will provide discounts, that's more of Microsoft's territory. I've heard rumors that Win 7 will be offered as a free upgrade to Vista...

    Will never be. Not unless you buy your comp within a microsoft-set grace period of 90 days or so before the official release of windows 7

    I can't think of any other brand does better OS driver support than lenovo, Linux, XP, Vista. OS/2 win 7 U name it
