I installed Windows 7 beta last night and have two problems in Device Manager. I am getting the yellow exclamtion for: 1) SM Bus Controller 2) PCI Simple Communications Controller. Also, my bluetooth is not showing up. I'm not sure if it is a result of SM Bus Controller. Also, I am assuming, we have to choose our video option in the Bios for now until the software is written to switch between the Intel integrated and ATI discrete. Thanks for any help.![]()

jiff777 -- don't have T400, but in general for the SM Bus Controller in Win 7 you need to download Intel chipset (or anything labeled "chipset") from Lenovo support site for T400 (select a Vista 32 or 64 bit driver, depending on your Win 7 installation). It needs to be installed manually. Run install -- it will fail in its final phase with a message indicating incompatibility! Click OK, but remember the directory where the Chipset files where extracted. Open the Device Manager, right-click on SM Bus Controller, select the Update Driver, and select the "non-automatic" ("browse my computer for software") option. Include subfolders in search and then simply point to the Chipset extraction folder. The controller will be installed with no problems.
